Preparing and signing the contract

A contract for the chosen applicant, their review, then signing with DÁP or a one-time code.

The app's screen, with sample data.
  1. 1On the listing, for the shortlisted applicant or the one invited to a viewing: Start a contract.
  2. 2Under Edit terms, check the rent, deposit, utilities, payment day, term, notice period and indexation. The landlord's name, address and bank account are required.
  3. 3Click Save and send to the tenant: it saves what you entered and sends it. After this the terms are locked.

The tenant enters their details needed for the contract and clicks I accept the terms (the final PDF is created), or Ask for changes. If they ask for changes, the contract goes back to draft.

Once you have both signed: “Both parties signed – the lease is running”. The listing closes, and you can download the signed copy with a signature clause.

  1. 1Acknowledge the reminder about the notarised move-out declaration: Acknowledge.
  2. 2Choose in what capacity you sign: as the owner, as a company's representative or under a power of attorney.
  3. 3DÁP (recommended): download the PDF, sign it in the DÁP app, and Upload signed PDF. We check it automatically.
  4. 4Or with a one-time code: Email me a signing code, enter the 6-digit code, and click Sign.

If someone other than the owner signs, a power of attorney is needed. On the Powers of attorney page you can upload an existing one (PDF), or issue one in Rentkey: for one contract, for named properties or a general one.
