Rent, other charges and deposit

Pay with a QR code or the copied details, report that you've paid, and see your other charges and your deposit balance.

The app's screen, with sample data.

Paying By card is coming soon.

  1. 1In the To pay list (or with the Pay button on My home), click Pay next to the item.
  2. 2In the Transfer with QR code part, scan the QR code with your banking app: the payee, account number, amount and reference fill in.
  3. 3If your app can't read it (e.g. Revolut), use the Copy buttons next to the details to copy them one by one. From abroad you need the IBAN and BIC.

If your payment wasn't for a specific item (e.g. you paid in advance), report it under Report another payment.

  1. 1After the transfer, enter the transfer date at the bottom of the Pay window, and attach a screenshot if you have one.
  2. 2Click I've paid. The item shows Reported until the landlord approves it.

On the Transfer details card, Set up a standing order tells you step by step what to enter in your banking app: payee, account number, monthly amount, monthly, 1–2 days before the due date, and the reference that never changes.

Here you can also say which account name you pay from (e.g. if it comes from your partner's or your company's account) – so the landlord can spot your payment more easily.

At the bottom of the Rent and charges tab, under Other charges: utilities, building service charge, repairs, key replacement and the like. You pay these with the Pay button too, using the same reference. If something is unclear: I have a question.

You see the agreed amount, the balance and the deposit log. Here too you report a payment with the I paid button. The deposit has no effect on your Passport.

Rentkey doesn't decide disputes, but it records both sides' positions.

  1. 1The landlord proposes deductions item by item, with evidence.
  2. 2For each item: Accept or Dispute (with a reason).
  3. 3The landlord replies, then you both sign the settlement (DÁP or one-time code).
