What it helps with

The most common rental situations

  • Deposit

How much can be kept, when it is due back, how to settle it.

  • Repairs

Who pays for a repair, how quickly it must be done, what to do if nothing happens.

  • Rent and increases

When and by how much rent can rise, what to do about late payment.

  • Notice and moving out

Notice periods, fixed-term and open-ended leases, moving out properly.

  • Lease review

What to check before signing, which clauses are unusual or missing.

  • Utilities and settlement

Who pays what, how a bill can be split, what the settlement should include.

How it works

Three steps, no paperwork

  1. 01

    Describe the situation

In your own words. If the rental is on Rentkey, the lease, the protocol and the payments are part of the answer.

  2. 02

    Get the answer

What the rules say, what your options are, and what to do next.

  3. 03

    A ready letter

The assistant writes the letter to the other side. In the operator plan we send it on your behalf.

FAQ

Questions about the assistant

Who answers my questions?

Rentkey's own AI assistant, trained only on rental law questions. Every answer says that it comes from an AI.

If both tenant and landlord use it, whose side is it on?

It tells both sides the same rules. The aim is to settle a disagreement before it ever reaches a court.

What does the assistant see of my data?

Only what you can access in your account, and only to answer your question. Landlords cannot see a tenant's documents through it either.
