What does insuring your let flat cost?
Enter a few details of the flat and we show an indicative premium. The exact premium is in the insurer's offer.
How it works
Three steps, no paperwork
- 01You pick the home in Rentkey
- 02The data goes pre-filled into the quote request
- 03The policy and its expiry are on the home's page, and you report claims from there
For tenants
Is your home protected? Rentkey shows you.
Tenants see on their My home page whether the home is insured and what it covers. If it isn't, they can tell the landlord with one tap.
Honestly
What it does not cover
- ✕rent the tenant doesn't pay (this is not rent insurance)
- ✕it does not replace the deposit
- ✕wear and tear
- ✕damage caused by pets
Frequently asked questions
Who takes out the policy?
The landlord, for the rented home.
Does it pay lost rent?
Only if an insured damage (for example a burst pipe) makes the home uninhabitable: up to 70% of the rent, for up to 3 months a year, with a 3-day excess. If the tenant simply doesn't pay, it doesn't cover that.
Can a company take it out?
Yes, subject to individual assessment.
The insurer is Colonnade Insurance S.A. Hungarian Branch. Detailed terms are in the product information sheet and the insurance conditions. Rentkey forwards quote requests and is not an insurer.
